ARE YOU READY FOR IT: Taylor Swift REPUTATION Aesthetic You Need to Try NOW!

Besties, I know we’ve ALL been waiting for Tay Tay’s Reputation (Taylor’s Version) to drop! But the news that we got instead, was that she’s bought back her masters… HUGE YAY FOR TAY! 💖

But that also means she’s likely not going to be re-recording Reputation.

And honestly… I hope she never does.

I think that Reputation was crafted during such a specifically unique time in her life, such that the album can’t be recreated with a similar authenticity that is intertwined throughout it. A re-record would only dilute the angst, the infatuation, and the magic behind arguably one of Taylor’s most raw and vulnerable albums (other than TTPD).

This was pretty evident during Taylor’s Eras Tour, with her singing songs about Joe that were written when she was in love with him. UGH. The magic just wasn’t the same… and I could feel it when I saw her perform at the Eras Tour in Los Angeles. Girly was hurt, and there was no way to hide it.

She did it with a broken heart. ❤️‍🩹

But I personally really love the album and the dark / snake aesthetic, and I had the BEST time at her 2018 Reputation tour in LA! 🐍

Reputation may not be everyone’s favorite child, but I believe it played a very pivotal role in cementing her triumphant return after one of her toughest points in her career.

She came back from the dead with guns blazing, with us fully expecting to feel her pure rage. And yet, she delivered an album that not only showed off a “chip on my shoulder” swagger with “Look What You Made Me Do,” but also caught us off guard with soft and vulnerable songs like “Delicate” and “New Year’s Day.”

The old Taylor might not be able to come to the phone right now, but the new one is back BETTER THAN EVER!

Reputation is Taylor Swift’s phoenix moment.

She had everything she knew and loved burned down to a crisp, yet arose from the ashes not to reclaim her throne, but to rebuild it on her own terms. And I absolutely love the way she literally owned her “villainess” era, AND flaunted it in her haters’ faces.

After all, the best revenge is success. And boy, was it served cold.

In honor of one of my favorite Taylor Swift albums, I’ve curated my very own take of the Reputation aesthetic and outfit ideas that I love for this revenge era!
