HOW TO: Taylor Swift’s The Life of a Showgirl Aesthetic
Alright Swifties, now that the promo hype has died down, what do we truly think about TS12?
From what I’ve observed, this album seems to have quite polarizing views, with fans either loving it or really hating it. My fellow Swiftie friends also seem to feel one way or the other.
As for me, do I think it’s her “best” album yet? No.
But do I still enjoy it? Hell yes!
Personally, I believe that Tay is just having fun making whatever music she wants to, (because she can, and should!) without the pressure to people-please the masses anymore.
I actually really enjoy TS12 for what it is 🧡- a fun and playful ode to her lover because she’s FINALLY out the slammer and is just enjoying being engaged and yearning for the simple joys in life like starting her own little family. 😭
My personal faves off the album are Opalite, Wi$h Li$t, CANCELLED!, Father Figure, The Fate of Ophelia.
Though honestly I could easily run through the entire album and just really enjoy it in its entirety. Best part is that I play it so often that my husband even hums along to Opalite and Wi$h Li$t sometimes. 😉
In honor of TS12, I wanted to curate my own take on ✨The Life of A Showgirl Aesthetic✨ and how I would bring all that showgirl sparkle to life.
